Rules


The rules and regulations  are designed to ensure the safety and well being of each team member. We expect full cooperation from members (and parents, if applicable) in any disciplinary decisions made. Mission Travel Inc. reserves the right to send any team member home who shows blatant disregard for the stated rules and regulations.


Upon becoming a member of On Mission Belize, you are expected to maintain the highest standard of integrity, honesty, and morality. It is our belief that the members of the On Mission Belize have reached a level of maturity and are responsible in their behavior.


Philosophy of On Mission Belize / Mission Travel Inc. Rules
All rules have a purpose, including Christianity, safety, for the sake of ministry, and cultural sensitivity.
A disciplined lifestyle leads to freedom, growth, and potential.

Lifestyle and Conduct
No illegal drugs, alcohol (includes no virgin drinks), or tobacco products (use or possession)
Never be outside the lodging complex alone
No fireworks or weapons
No profanity
No secular music, movies or secular reading materials of any kind
Report any illnesses

Group Regulations
We must know where you are at all times
Groups must stay together at all times regardless of time of day or night.

Dress Code
All participants must abide by the dress code below.  
Female Clothing
Dresses or Shirts (no pants) for church services
Capri’s or pants for VBS
No short skirts (slit or length may not extend above the knee)
No sleeveless shirts on the field
All shirts must cover your stomach completely (with hands raised) and have a modest neck line
Modest one-piece bathing suits; you must wear a cover-up to and from the pool
No nose or lip rings anytime
Male Clothing
Must wear shirts at all times, including to and from the pool
No sleeveless shirts during ministry
No ear, nose or lip rings anytime  
Overall Appearance (male and female)
Shoes must be worn at all times
Two pair of shoes, in case one gets wet, Flip-flops for showers
No shorts  
No clothing that advertises alcohol, tobacco products, or secular bands


Phone Calls
You can buy a Belize phone card, cheaper and must easier to use.
You can use public phone at restaurant

Room Manners
No guys in girls' rooms; no girls in guys' rooms
Rooms must be clean and orderly

Relationships
No romantic dating relationships or pairing off at any time
(Includes holding hands, extended hugs, or communicating any intent for a romantic relationship)
No lap sitting and back rubs

Attitude
Commit to maintaining a positive attitude regardless of circumstances

Ministry Guidelines
All team members must remain in their ministry groups at all times
During ministry events, be aware of the teams' departure

Items You Need To Bring With You
Cash: one -two meals each day
Snacks
Prescription drugs: make sure you have enough to last entire trip. Do Not Pack Them in your check bags.
Toiletries: towels, wash cloth, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush
Food: breakfast and dinner
Small compact umbrella (it will rain)
Flash light
Bible, devotional reading, notebook
Linens and pillow for bunk bed, you might want to carry a light blanket
No expensive jewelry
Back pack, this could be your carry on
Sunscreen
Insect repellent - pump spray with deet
Motion sickness medicine. There is a long ride from airport to camp. You might want to bring a two gallon Ziploc bag just in case.
Antibacterial waterless soap and wipes
Sunglasses
3 rolls of bathroom tissue per person
Fanny packs, no purses
Divide your belongings in half to put in the two bags, (in case one gets lost)
Weight you bags, 50lbs per bag for check in bags, 40lbs for carry on.
